Die 0nafhanklike Entrepreneurs Vereniging van Mosselbaai of soos alombekend die OEV is reeds n kwart eeu gelede as n Vereniging gestig en wel op 17 April 1995 om informele handel op n nie winsgewende basis te bevorder en gevolglike werkskepping na te streef met hoofdoel om diegene wie dit nodig het , te bemagtig.
Die OEV het oor die jare heen met konstante ondersteuning van Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit gegroei tot n entiteit waarop baie steun en bestuur dan ook reeds vir baie jare alle informele handelsaktiwiteite regoor Mosselbaai ten opsigte van publieke gebied wat direk deur Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit beheer word met Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit as Prinsipaal .
Die positiewe verhouding wat oor al die jare heen met Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit gehandhaaf is ,het ook baie positief vir die dorp gewerk en het veral tot uiting gekom in die skep en daarstel van n skoon dorp wat ten opsigte van informele handel gedissiplineerd bestuur word om terselfdertyd ook n gesonde balans tussen Formele Handel en Informele Handel daar te stel.
Nie net Informele handel en Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit het en trek steeds voordeel uit die Vennootskap tussen hulle om die unieke Organisasie te ondersteun en te bevorder nie ,maar Informele Handelaars regoor die Hele Suid-Afrike baat daarby.
Hartenbos Informele mark is n naam wat regoor Suid-Afrika geen bekendstelling nodig het nie.
Gedurende Desember/Januarie en Maart/April skoolvakansietydperke word uitstalruimtes oor n reeks publieke gebiede asook te ATKV privaatgebied met reelings in plek deur die OEV in samewerking met Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit bestuur en beheer.Buite seisoen word enkele voorafbepaalde uitstalruimtes beskikbaar deur Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit aan Informele handelaars beskikbaar gestel en beheer.
Die OEV beskik oor n gedragskode en beskik oor n uitgebreide Grondwet wat riglyne vir optrede en korrekte Bestuur deur die Vereniging daarstel. Die OEV Kalender sluit ook in die hou van drie Aandmarkte wat elke Desember Skoolvakansie met toestemming van Mosselbaai Munisipaliteit gehou word.Twee van die gewilde Aandmarkte word te Hartenbos en een te Mossselbaai Sentraal in Blandstraat gehou .Die netto opbrengs van die drie Aandmarkte jaarliks gehou word dan ook netso aangewend vir Liefdadigheid in die Mosselbaai Distrik en help baie wie dit tog so nodig het.
Dit is so dat om te alle tye gedissiplineerde optrede deur alle rolspelers daar te stel dat reels en regulasies benodig word.Alle uitstallers moet dan ook na toekenning van uitstalruimte tydens besetting by n omvattende reeks reels en regulasies wat alle moontlike omstandighede probeer aanspreek , hou.Verder moet by alle betrokke Landswette op n sekere stadium in plek asook alle Munisipale Proklamasies en By-wette in plek gehou word.
Die OEV is n gevestigde entiteit en n Vereniging wat na baie jare van groei en ontwikkeling as n integrale deel van Mosselbaai tot sy reg gekom het.Dit is n Vereniging waarop alle uitstallers trots behoort te wees en na behoort te kyk want daar is beslis geen dergelyks in Suid-Afrika nie.Voortdurende betrokke Munisipale ondersteuning plaas die Vereniging op unieke voet en gee beslag aan dit wat nou alombekend is as Informele Handel.

Independant Entrepreneurs Association
The Independant Entrepreneurs Association of Mossel Bay or as it commonly known the IEA has already been inisiated as an Association more than twenty five years ago on the 17 th of April 1995 to enhance Informal Trading on a non profit basis to create jobs and empower those who need it.
The IEA grew over the years with constant support from Mossel Bay Municipality into an entity which many depend on and therefor manage also for many years all Informal activities in the Mossel Bay Municipal District as far as public ground resorting under Mossel Bay Municipality is concerned with Mosselbay Municipality as principal.
The positive relationship with Mossel Bay Municipality over the years resulted in a clean town as far as management of the Informal Trading sector is concerned while a healthy balance between Formal and Informal Trading practices is constantly being kept to create a healthy balance all around.
Not only do local Informal Trading and Mossel Bay Municipality benefit by supporting this unique Organitation,but Informal Traders all over South-Africa benifit by being constantly actively involved .Hartenbos Informal market during holiday periods need no introduction-it is well known all over South-Africa.
Exhibiting spaces over a wide range of public ground including ATKV which constitute private ground are being managed and controlled by the IEA in conjunction with Mossel Bay Municipality during the March/April and December/January school Holidays.
A few predetermined exhibiting spaces made available by Mossel Bay Municipality is being made available to Informal Traders out of season.
The IEA support a code of conduct and has an extensive constitution which determine conduct and correct management by the Association. The IEA calander also include three night markets which are being held every December school holiday with permission and support of Mossel Bay Municipality. Two of these sought after night markets are being held at Hartenbos and the third at Mossel Bay Central in Bland street. The net profit from these Night Markets being held jearly goes directly to charity in Mossel Bay District and support and help those in need.
In order to ensure disciplined conduct by all involved a wide range of rules and regulations are in place to try and address many different circumstances..It is therefor expected from every successful applicant to whom exhibiting space has been allocated to adhere to all such rules and regulations in place at a certain time.
Furthermore all laws of the country in place at a certain time as well as all Municipal proclamations and by-laws must be adhered to.
The IEA is an established Association which after years of growth and development transformed itself into an integral part of Mossel Bay.It is an Association which all exhibitors should cherish and be proud off simply because there is no such similar organization in South-Africa .Continued involved support by Mossel Bay Municipality places the Association on an unique pedestal and give credibility to the concept which is commonly known as Informal Trading.
